Minutes — Annual Meeting
Tuesday, May 12, 2026 · 7:00 p.m. · Upstairs hall, Township Offices

Present: Samuel Kirke, Moderator; Ruth Ellery, Township Clerk; Joan Whitcomb, Treasurer; and 84 residents
Also present: Harlan Voss, Township Marshal; Frank Odell, Superintendent, Light & Water; Peter Lindqvist, Fire Chief; Gus Bertrand, Foreman, Roads & Grounds
1. Call to order
The Moderator called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting were read.
Moved, seconded and voted unanimously to approve the minutes as read.
3. Treasurer's report
The Treasurer reported fund balances at the end of the previous month.

4. Light & Water
Superintendent Odell reported that the substation fence has been repaired and painted.
5. Marshal
Marshal Voss reported a routine month and had no matters for the Meeting.
6. Fire Department
Chief Lindqvist reported 3 calls in the previous month, all handled without injury. The response log is posted on the Fire Department page.
7. Roads & Grounds
Foreman Bertrand reported that spring cleanup day filled nine trucks; roadside mowing begins in June.
8. New business
Annual business: (a) the budget for the coming fiscal year; (b) election of a Moderator; (c) repair of the Township Offices' front steps; (d) purchase of a sander for Roads & Grounds.
On (a): moved, seconded and voted, all but two in favor. On (b): Samuel Kirke elected Moderator by voice vote. On (c) and (d): moved, seconded and voted unanimously.
9. Public comment
None.
10. Adjournment
The next regular meeting will be Tuesday, June 9, 2026. The meeting adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
