Roads & Grounds

Roads & Grounds maintains the Township's roads, sidewalks, the Green, the swimming area and the transfer station, and plows and sands the roads in winter.

Footpaths. Roads & Grounds keeps the river path and the low path clear of brush from April through November. The paths are kept as they were laid out. They are not plowed or sanded in winter.

Transfer Station

Summer hours (May to mid-November): Wednesdays noon to 6:00 p.m., Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Winter hours: Wednesdays noon to 4:00 p.m., Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A current sticker is required; stickers are sold at the Clerk's counter.

Winter Operations

Plow routes begin at 4:00 a.m. when snow is falling. The overnight parking ban is in effect from November 15 through April 1. Please mark driveways and mailboxes with stakes at least four feet tall.
